Our vision
Mutually respectful relationships between highly skilled staff with engaged, confident and successful learners in a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Our Science team is made up of 12 staff members teaching a range of subjects and courses: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology & Science are all taught within the faculty.
S1 and S2 classes are taught General Science. This includes topics such as Substances, Chemical Reactions, Forces, Energy, Life on Earth and Human Body.
S3 classes are taught Science with Biology (National 4 Biology), Science with Chemistry (National 4 Chemistry), Science with Physics (National 4 Physics) or Science NPA (National 3-4 Science).
The Junior Hub delivers National 1, 2 and 3 Science outcomes to specific groups of young people out with mainstream classes.

Chemistry (National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher)
Physics (National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher)
Psychology (National 5 and Higher)
NPA in Science and Health (Level 4)
NPA in Applied Sciences (Level 5)
NPA/FA Scientific Technologies (Level 6)
Maths of Mechanics (Advanced Higher)
There are a small number of pupils undertaking the Science Baccalaureate each year.
